Training with JH Horsemanship
Putting your horse in training at JH Horsemanship is an investment. We promise to work diligently to enhance each horse's natural ability and to protect your investment along the way.
Our rate is $900/month.
When training with us you can expect riding 5 days per week (weather permitting), premium feed twice a day, a stall and turnout. Trims, shoeing, vet care, etc. would be an additional charge.
Lessons are provided with the owner at their convenience to help show case what we are doing, why we are doing, and how you can continue working with them once sent home.
Ready to Apply?
We have implemented a screening process to help. Submit a training horse application with us today to start the process. By submitting you are not locked into anything. Once your horse has been accepted, and you have chosen to proceed, a contract will be sent to you and a deposit needed to hold your spot.
** Owners are responsible for vaccinations, farrier, and medical/surgical expenses. Prior to arrival, all horses must have a current coggins and be up to date on vaccinations
Our Facility
Stall
We have ten, spacious 12x12 stalls bedded with quality pine shavings and cleaned daily. Horses will have fresh hay and clean water when kept in the stall.
Feed Program
Body condition is important to maintain while a horse is in training. We take pride that our horses are all in top-notch condition. We feed a ration of grass hay paired with premium feed, as well as pasture turnout.
Pasture
It's important to allow our horses some time to run and play. They can do this while eating their share of fresh grass, safely in our turnout pastures.
Veterinary Care
Fordham Equine Mobile Veterinary Services is our go-to for any veterinary care needs. He consistently provides top notch service to both customer and personal horses. Rest assured, your horse is in the best of care.
Arena
We have a 100ft x 150ft outdoor arena and a round pen to ride in and for exercise. All riding arenas are maintained to feature great footing for all events.
Farrier
We believe that balance starts from the ground up. Which is why we use and trust Chris Callahan as our farrier to make sure all horses on our property are comfortable and moving sound.
